How Long Does it Take to Beat Disco Elysium
Disco Elysium is widely regarded as one of the best games ever created, receiving universal acclaim and numerous Game of the Year awards when it was released in 2019.
There aren’t enough good things to say about the debut title from independent game developer ZA/UM. It looks fantastic, has excellent storytelling, and plenty of replayability.
While the RPG was initially released on PC only, the Final Cut edition was released on consoles in 2021, allowing even more players to experience everything it has to offer.
Don’t worry if you’re only now getting around to playing this incredible game; we won’t judge you. But, since you’re here, we’re guessing you’re looking for information on how days work in Disco Elysium and how many days you have until the story ends. No worries, we’ve got a comprehensive guide to assist you, so keep reading to learn everything you need to know.
How Many Days Are There in Disco Elysium?
Disco Elysium has ten playable days in total, with each day offering new activities, new areas to explore, new characters to interact with, and much more.
However, you do not need all ten days because the main quest can be completed by Day 5 in some cases.
However, if you want to see everything, you’ll probably want to play all ten days. That way, you can get the most out of the game, especially since certain plot points and quests will only appear on certain days.
For example, the side quest Sync the sines with Noid cannot be started until Day 3.
How Long Does it Take to Beat Disco Elysium
Unfortunately, there is no set time limit for beating Disco Elysium because it can be approached in a variety of ways.
At any time, players may miss out on optional quests on a particular day, or they may complete the main quest before reaching other mysteries in the game. Players could be distracted at any time by helping Ravers start a Nightclub, fixing a “traffic jam for the ages,” or even singing karaoke.

We can’t say how long it will take to complete Disco Elysium because of the abundance of side quests and other features. Having said that, a post on the developers’ blog provided a rough outline, writing:
“If you’re a reasonably completionist player like me, it takes 60+ hours of continuous playtime to complete Disco Elysium. It takes 90 hours if you take your time and enjoy every detail. And 30 hours if you’re in a hurry. I would estimate playtime to be 60+ hours.”
According to player reports on the website HowLongToBeat, Disco Elysium takes about 21 hours to complete the main story and 30 hours to complete some of the extras. On the chart below, you can see the various times recorded by HowLongToBeat:
