Plot
As third-year high school students, Futaro Uesugi and the Nakano quintuplets Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki prepare for the next school festival following their summer break. On the day of the festival, Futaro calls the quintuplets to a chamber and proclaims his love for them. However, he instructs them to wait until the end of the event to see which one he has chosen.
During the second day of the festival, Ichika discovers that one of her sisters has collapsed, prompting her to run to the hospital, where she encounters Futaro and Nino. Ichika kisses Futaro in a park while she and Futaro stroll outside. Nino anticipates that the father of the quintuplets, Maruo, would attend the school on the second day of the celebration, but is unable to locate him in the crowd.
Futaro approaches her with a video proving the arrival of her father. Nino and Futaro visit Nino’s father in the hospital, where Nino prepares pancakes for her father. Nino kisses Futaro and expresses gratitude to her father for selecting him as the quintuplets’ tutor after the meeting’s success.
Miku is followed by Futaro on the first day of the festival as they approach the males’ takoyaki stand, where she guarantees that the girls supporting the pancake stand will enjoy their cuisine. Later, Miku and the girls return to the stand, only to discover that it has caught fire.
On the third day of the festival, Miku invites Futaro to a rooftop where they encounter two classmates bickering about the takoyaki stand incident. After reprimanding her classmates, Miku confronts Futaro over his encounter with an unidentified female yesterday and kisses him out of envy.
Yotsuba has been overworked since the beginning of the event, assisting many clubs. She collapses from weariness on day two of the event. Yotsuba learns through Futaro, who visits her in the hospital, that several of the students she has aided in the past have given support in her absence.
Yotsuba kisses a reclining Futaro on the third day of the festival. Itsuki is studying on the first day of the festival when her teacher Mud divulges his past relationship with her mother. The following day, she discovers that Mud is the biological father of the quintuplets, and she becomes enraged at him for abandoning her mother when she was pregnant.
Futaro visits Itsuki’s home on the third day of the festival to encourage her to continue pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. Maruo, Futaro’s father Isanari, and Miku disguised as Itsuki later meet with Mud. After failing to recognize Miku’s disguise, Itsuki informs Mud that he is unfit to be the father of the quintuplets.
The quintuplets tell Futaro, at the conclusion of the celebration, to contact one of them, who are temporarily separated in a building, in order to confess. Futaro meets Yotsuba and expresses his love for her, but she rejects him since she believes she is unsuitable for him. As she flees from him, Yotsuba recalls their first encounter and the commitment they made to one another.
Eventually, Futaro catches up with her and persuades her to reveal her genuine love for him. Before beginning a relationship with Futaro, Yotsuba decides to address the feelings of her sisters. Yotsuba begins dating Futaro after reconciling with her sisters, and he proposes to her in a park with a swing that they had previously visited. Five years later, Nino and Miku, now owners of a cafeteria, reunite with Ich
ika, an actress, Itsuki, a teacher, and Yotsuba, who is set to wed.
Yotsuba’s ears are pierced as a wedding gift so that she can wear her mother’s earrings. On the day of the wedding, the quintuplets play their final game with Futaro, which requires him to identify the bride among them, but he instead recognizes them one by one. The quintuplets consider the best location for the newlyweds’ honeymoon following the success of the wedding.
